Why we don’t do discovery calls
You know how it goes. Someone asks your company size, your budget range and your timeline. You give the same five answers you gave the last three studios. They promise a proposal. It arrives, or it doesn’t. Nothing you said on that call changed what they were always going to send.
A working session runs the other way round. We turn up having read your site, looked at how your work is currently presented, and written down what we would want to know. You turn up with the real question, the one you haven’t yet settled in your own head. Half an hour of that is worth more than two weeks of email. Whether we end up working together is almost beside the point: you leave knowing more about your own situation than you did when you sat down.
What we bring. A proper look at how you currently show up online, an honest read on what is holding it back, and two or three questions we actually want the answer to.
What you bring. The unpolished version of the question. The one where you don’t yet know what the right move is. That is the half hour worth having.
What you leave with. A clear first thing to fix, a realistic sense of what it involves, and a straight answer on whether we are the right studio, or who is.

Who should book this call
We take every call seriously, which means being straight about who we can genuinely help. Here is how to tell whether this is a good use of your morning.
Book the call if you are a maker, an independent professional or a creator whose work is better than the website currently showing it; you care how your craft is presented, not merely that a site exists; you are one of the people who decides, so the conversation can actually go somewhere; you would rather be told something useful than something flattering.
Give it a miss if you are collecting quotes to find the lowest one; you need a template lightly reskinned by the end of the week; the brief is “make it look like this other studio’s site”; the decision sits with a committee you cannot bring into the room.

What does a project cost?
It depends on what the project actually needs, and a number quoted before we understand that is worth nothing to either of us. Every engagement is scoped to the work in front of us. On the call, once we know your situation, you get a realistic range, before you have committed to anything.
Do you work across timezones?
Yes. The studio is in Paris and works with clients across Europe, the UK and further out. Most of the work is asynchronous, with scheduled calls set in your hours rather than ours. Clients tend to find it less disruptive than working with a studio down the road.
How quickly can you start?
We keep a small number of project slots open, deliberately. If one is free and scoping goes cleanly, work can begin within a week or two of the first call. If we are full, we say so on the call and tell you honestly whether waiting is worth it.
Who owns the code and the site?
You do. Your domain, your hosting account, your repository, all in your name. We build inside your infrastructure, not ours. If you want to take the work in-house or move it elsewhere, it transfers cleanly: no proprietary framework, no licence you keep paying for, no clause obliging you to call us first.
Who actually does the work?
The person you meet on the call. The studio is small on purpose: nothing is handed down to a junior once you have signed, and nothing is quietly sent elsewhere. Where a project needs a specialist we do not have in-house, a photographer, a translator, a particular kind of developer, we say so before you commit, and you meet them too.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, before the call if you would prefer. Send your own template and it comes back within 24 hours. Sensitive work sits on isolated infrastructure, and we can accommodate stricter requirements where your field demands them.
What if we are not ready to commit?
Then book anyway, take whatever is useful, and come back in six months when it makes sense. There is no follow-up sequence, no drip campaign, no “just circling back” email. We would rather you remember us well than hear from us weekly.
